4 •° ~ The Unspoken Confession ~ °•

The sun rose over the city, casting golden hues through the curtains of Ishaani's bedroom. Like every other day, she followed her routine with precision-waking up, getting ready, and heading straight to work. Today, however, was different.

Her schedule was packed, and with the evening reserved for wedding shopping with her friends, she had little time to waste. From the moment she stepped into her office, she was buried in files, emails, and back-to-back meetings. Her phone buzzed occasionally with messages from Aanya and Neha, excitedly discussing outfits and color schemes, but Ishaani barely had time to glance at them.

By noon, exhaustion had begun to settle in. Her head ached from the workload, and her irritation spiked every time someone interrupted her focus. But she kept pushing through, knowing she couldn't let work pile up.

Even as the clock ticked towards the evening, Ishaani remained indifferent to the thought of shopping. It was meant to be fun, yet to her, it felt like another obligation-one she wouldn't have agreed to if not for Aanya's persistence.

Little did she know, the night ahead would bring more than just wedding preparations-it would stir emotions she had long kept buried.

---

Ishaani's phone buzzed on her desk, pulling her out of the never-ending pile of work. She sighed, rubbing her temples before picking it up. The second she saw the name Rivaan Chauhan flashing on the screen, her heart did an annoying little flip.

Oh no. Not now. Not him.

She took a deep breath, willing her pulse to calm before answering.

"Come down. We have to go shopping," his deep voice commanded, leaving no room for argument.

She blinked, her pen slipping from her fingers. He came to pick me up? "I can go on my own," she said, shaking off her initial surprise.

"Would you come down yourself, or should I lift you up from your office infront of everyone and take you?" he asked smoothly, amusement dripping from his tone.

She scoffed, rolling her eyes. "You wouldn't dare."

"Tsk, tsk. You still underestimate me, don't you?" His voice held a dangerous sort of challenge, and before she could respond, the call cut off.

A chill ran down her spine. He won't actually-

Her thoughts were cut short when, not even five minutes later, the glass doors of her cabin swung open.

The air seemed to shift.

And there he was.

Rivaan stood at the entrance, arms crossed, that signature smirk playing on his lips. The one that said I always get what I want.

"You didn't come down, so I came up," he announced, his gaze locked onto hers.

Ishaani's eyes widened in horror.

No. No. No.

"What are you doing here?!" she whisper-yelled, darting frantic glances at her colleagues outside. As expected, they were already sneaking curious looks inside her cabin. Some were even whispering.

"Kidnapping my future wife," he replied smoothly, taking slow, deliberate steps toward her, his eyes glinting with mischief.

Ishaani backed away instinctively, pressing herself against her desk. "Rivaan, don't you dare-"

Too late.

In one swift motion, he scooped her up in his arms-effortlessly, like she weighed nothing.

A shriek left her lips. "Rivaan! Put me down this instant!" Her hands gripped his shoulders for balance, her heart hammering wildly against her ribs.

The entire office froze.

Her assistant gasped. The peon dropped his notepad. A few employees had their mouths hanging open. Someone even clapped.

She wanted to disappear.

"Stop moving, unless you want both of us to fall," Rivaan warned, his voice calm, as if carrying a grown woman through an office was the most normal thing in the world.

Ishaani glared at him, pushing against his chest-not that it did anything. "I swear, if you don't put me down-!"

She slapped his shoulder, not hard enough to hurt but enough to show her frustration.

"Ishaani, sweetheart," he drawled, effortlessly dodging another of her weak punches, "hitting your fiancé in public? People might think you're a violent wife already."

Her face burned. Fiancé?! Since when did she-?!

"You're insane!" she huffed, crossing her arms like a petulant child.

"And you're cute when you're angry," he winked before confidently striding out of the office-with her still in his arms.

The whispers around them turned into full-blown murmurs.

"Nope."

She struggled, lightly hitting his chest, her face burning hotter than ever. "This is harassment!"

"Sweetheart," Rivaan leaned in, his lips brushing the shell of her ear, his voice a low, teasing murmur, "if it was, you wouldn't be blushing."

Her breath hitched. Was she blushing?

Before she could recover, he turned to the stunned employees, smirking. "Let everyone see that I'm carrying away my overworking fiancée."

That did it.

The world froze.

Her chest tightened. Fiancée?

Her heart did something strange-something warm and unfamiliar. For the first time, someone thought about her.

She had spent her whole life being an afterthought, an inconvenience. A pawn in her father's business. Someone to be tolerated, not cherished.

Yet here he was. Announcing to the world that she was his.

And despite the humiliation, despite the sheer absurdity of the situation...

A tiny, traitorous part of her didn't mind.

But she'd rather die than admit it.

"Rivaan Chauhan, you are going to regret this," she muttered under her breath.

Rivaan chuckled, the sound deep and rich, vibrating through her. "Sweetheart, I regret nothing when it comes to you."

Her pulse betrayed her.

And as he carried her out the door, Ishaani realized one terrifying thing.

She wasn't struggling anymore

Before she could linger on that thought, he walked out of the building, completely unbothered

By the time they reached his car, Ishaani was practically seething. The moment Rivaan set her down, she stumbled back, crossing her arms as she shot him a glare hot enough to melt steel.

"What the hell was that, Mr Rivaan Malhotra?" she fumed, her breath coming fast. "You just-just carried me out of my own office like a sack of rice!"

"Correction," he smirked, dusting off his sleeves as if he hadn't just caused absolute chaos in her workplace. "A very beautiful, feisty sack of rice."

Her jaw dropped. "I hate you."

"I know," he said so casually, as if she had just complimented him. He walked around the car and opened the door for her, looking at her expectantly.

Ishaani hesitated, her feet rooted to the ground. The entire scene replayed in her head. The way he had walked in like he owned the place, the way he had scooped her up effortlessly-like she weighed nothing.

And then he had said it.

Fiancée.

The word had left his lips so naturally, so confidently, as if he had every right to claim her as his. As if... as if she already belonged to him.

A strange, unfamiliar warmth curled in her chest. It was infuriating.

"Are you getting in, or should I carry you inside the car too?" His voice broke through her storm of thoughts, the teasing lilt making her narrow her eyes.

"You wouldn't dare," she snapped.

He sighed dramatically. "I don't make empty threats, sweetheart."

Not willing to test his patience-because damn it, he would-she slid into the passenger seat with an irritated huff.

Rivaan shut the door, his chuckle sending a shiver down her spine.

She sat stiffly, arms crossed, her mind a complete mess.

What kind of man did that? What kind of man boldly declared her as his in front of a room full of people?

An absolutely insufferable one, she decided.

But then... there was that tiny part of her, the one she wanted to ignore, the one that hadn't hated it.

The one that had felt a strange, undeniable sense of belonging when he had said the word fiancée.

She had spent so much of her life feeling alone. Pushed aside. Overlooked. But Rivaan saw her.

Her heart clenched.

"You're awfully quiet," Rivaan noted, a smirk pulling at his lips as he stole a glance at her. "Should I be worried?"

"I'm plotting your murder," she snapped, quickly pushing away whatever nonsense her heart was whispering.

He laughed, completely unfazed. "Not before Advik's wedding, please."

She scowled, turning to the window, willing herself to forget everything that had just happened. But deep down, there was one thought she couldn't shake-

He noticed I was overworking myself.
He cared.

She swallowed hard, hating that realization.

For a few minutes, silence settled between them, the car gliding smoothly through the city.

Then, suddenly, Rivaan slowed down and pulled over.

Ishaani blinked, startled out of her thoughts. "Why are we stopping?"

Rivaan didn't answer. He unbuckled his seatbelt and stepped out, shutting the door behind him.

Her brows furrowed as she watched him walk away. Where is he going?

Seconds ticked by. She shifted in her seat, curiosity gnawing at her. Did he forget something? Did he get an urgent call? What is he-

Before she could spiral further, the driver's door swung open, and Rivaan slid back inside.

With an ice cream cone.

She blinked at it. Then at him. Then back at the ice cream.

"Here," he said simply, pushing it toward her.

She stared at it like it was a foreign object. He... got me ice cream?

"You can't bribe me with this," she said, her voice lacking the bite she intended.

"Oh?" His lips twitched. "Then why are you still taking it?"

Damn it. She was taking it.

She huffed, tearing her gaze away as she took a slow bite, pretending it wasn't the best thing she'd ever tasted.

Her lips parted, ready to argue, but there was no argument.

And Rivaan knew it.

She could feel his intense gaze on her.

"Better?" he asked, amusement flickering in his voice.

She scowled, chewing slowly. "I refuse to admit you did something nice for me."

Rivaan leaned in, close enough that she could feel his breath ghosting against her cheek.

"But you like it, don't you?" he murmured.

Her pulse stuttered.

She turned her head sharply, meeting his gaze. Big mistake. His eyes were smoldering, filled with something unreadable-but so incredibly captivating.

For a second, she forgot how to breathe.

Rivaan chuckled, leaning back, clearly satisfied with whatever reaction he had pulled from her.

"I knew you were in a bad mood," he said after a beat, more casually this time. "So I thought... what's better than ice cream?"

She stared at him. He stopped just to lift my mood?

Her heart squeezed painfully.

The realization was so foreign, so... unexpected.

No one had ever done that for her before.

She looked away, focusing on the ice cream in her hands, pretending she wasn't feeling something dangerously close to fondness.

Rivaan, however, was still watching her, his gaze flickering with something unreadable.

"You should smile more, Ishaani," he said suddenly. "It suits you."

Her fingers clenched around the cone.

"Shut up," she muttered, shoving another spoonful of ice cream into her mouth-because honestly, it was safer than dealing with whatever was happening inside her chest.

Rivaan just laughed.

And somehow, despite everything, Ishaani felt her lips twitch, just the tiniest bit.

As soon as Ishaani and Rivaan stepped into the mall, the gang of Advik, Aanya, Neha, Aayansh, Kabir, Rhea, Vivaan, Zayan, and Karan turned towards them with mischievous smirks.

Aanya, crossing her arms "Look who finally decided to show up! Did you guys take a detour to the moon or what?"

Neha grinning "Arre, arrey! Yaha tak kaise? Traffic mein fas gaye the ya koi special date thi?" (How did you both manage to be late? Was it traffic, or was there a special date?)

Ishaani couldn't help but roll her eyes at the teasing. "Seriously? They've got a sixth sense for spotting me with him."

Samar mock-whispering to Advik "Look at her face, yaar. She's already embarrassed. Don't worry, Ishaani. We know how this goes."

Ishaani thinking to herself Oh no, I can feel the heat in my cheeks. How does he make everything seem so... casual? I hate it.

Aanya grinning "Nah, bro, they must've been stuck in some super romantic Bollywood moment-like Ishq Wala Love playing in the background!"

Kabir with fake gasping said "Wait, wait! I bet Rivaan bhai kidnapped Bhabhi straight from her office and whisked her away in true Rivaan style!"

Ishaani muttering under her breath and glaring at Rivaan "That's actually accurate."

Rivaan smirked at the group's banter, enjoying the attention. "Well, you guys can blame me for getting ice cream on the way here. Aise bhi kaun shaadi ki shopping pe sirf kaam kare?" (Who only works when it's wedding shopping?)

The moment Rivaan said that, a hush fell over the group, and they all turned towards him in complete disbelief.

Vivaan shocked, pointing a finger at Rivaan "What?! You, Rivaan Chauhan, ate ice cream? Saath mein Bhabhi?" (With Bhabhi?)

Kabir laughing "Yaar, this is the same Rivaan Chauhan who called ice cream a 'waste of calories' last year, right?"

Aayansh feigning shock "Yrr, yeh toh full character development hai!" (Bro, this is complete character development!)

Zayan said to Ishaani, winking "Tumhe kya pata, yeh ice cream wala scene toh bas shuruat hai. Pehle koi bhi kaam nahi karta tha yeh, ab dekho..." (What do you know, this ice cream moment is just the beginning. He never used to do anything, now look...)

Ishaani stood there, looking between them, trying to hide the blush that had crept onto her cheeks. Why does he make me feel so... strange?

Rhea teasing Rivaan "Bhai, aap toh bahut badal gaye ho. Yeh kya scene hai? Ice cream aur woh bhi Bhabhi ke saath?" (You've really changed, bro. What's going on? Ice cream and with Bhabhi?)

Rivaan smiling at Rhea, his voice steady but with a hint of affection for Ishaani: "Jab shaadi karni ho toh thodi comfort bhi zaroori hai, right?" (When you're about to get married, a little comfort is important, right?)

Ishaani's heart skipped a beat. His words always have this strange effect on me. Why do I feel like he's always trying to show me something I never expected?

Advik clapping his hands: "Bhai, pyaar ne toh sach mein tumhein hilaa diya hai!" (Bro, love has really shaken you up!)

Aanya whispering to Ishaani, teasing her: "Arre, don't pretend like you don't love the attention! You blush every time he does something for you!"

Ishaani muttering under her breath: "I don't need any of this." Yet, I can't stop myself from feeling... happy?

Rivaan, noticing her discomfort, suddenly turned to the group, his voice commanding yet amuse: "Bas. Bohot ho gaya." (Enough. That's it.)

The gang blinked in surprise. Rivaan rarely shut them up.

Rivaan crossing his arms, looking at each one of them: "Mujhe pareshan karna hai, karo. Par agar koi Ishaani ko zyada tang karega, toh uska alag hisaab hoga." (If you want to tease me, go ahead. But if anyone bothers Ishaani too much, there will be consequences.)

The group fell silent for a split second before chaos erupted.

Kabir grinning "Oho! Protectiveness level 100!"

Aayansh dramatically gasped "Bhai, ab toh bas mandap le aao. You're already acting like the overprotective husband!"

Zayan laughing "Arre, waah! Rivaan ka soft side toh full power pe hai aaj!"

Vivaan mock serious "Breaking news! Rivaan Chauhan is officially head over heels!"

Ishaani's mouth fell open slightly as her eyes darted toward Rivaan. The way he'd said it, so naturally, so boldly, made something in her heart flutter.

Aanya nudging Ishaani "Dekh rahi hai, na? Tera banda kitna possessive hai!"

Neha teasing "Arre, haan! Shaadi se pehle hi jaan bachani pad rahi hai, toh baad mein kya hoga?"

Ishaani huffing, looking at Rivaan, voice low but filled with annoyance "Yeh sab zaroori tha?"

Rivaan smirking, leaning slightly toward her "Bohot."

The entire group burst into laughter while Ishaani glared at him, feeling completely flustered.

Advik grinning "Bhai, yeh toh ultimate love story ban rahi hai. Tum dono filmy ho ya sach mein aise ho?"

Rhea smiling at Ishaani: "Bhabhi, aap tension mat lo. Aise hi maska maar rahe hain sab. Magar sach toh yeh hai ke Rivaan bhai sirf aapke liye badle hain."

Ishaani not knowing how to react "Main-"

Rivaan cutting in, voice firm yet gentle "Aur koi doubt hai?" (Any other doubts?)

The gang exchanged looks before erupting into cheers.

Karan laughing " Rivaan in love, aur Bhabhi in denial. Perfect combination!"

Ishaani groaning, covering her face "Uff! Sab chup ho jao!" (Ugh! Everyone shut up!)

The group only laughed harder, and with that, the teasing continued as they all walked into the mall, Rivaan staying close to Ishaani, a smug smirk never leaving his face. The evening had just begun, but the memories of it would surely last forever.

______

The lively group entered the grand shopping mall, their chatter and teasing echoing through the spacious halls. The vibrant lights and dazzling displays added to the excitement of the evening. As soon as they stepped inside, everyone naturally dispersed into different sections, drawn toward their personal preferences.

"I'm heading to the Indo-western section!" Aanya announced, dragging Advik along with her.

"Aanya, mujhe sirf sherwani lena hai, yaar. Itna excitement kyun?" Advik groaned, but he had no choice but to follow his overly enthusiastic fiancée.

Meanwhile, the boys-Kabir, Aayansh, Zayan, Vivaan, and Karan-headed toward the men's section, already debating over who would choose the best outfit.

Rhea, being the fashionista of the group, clapped her hands excitedly. "Neha, Ishaani, let's check out the traditional section! I need to help my bhabhi look stunning!"

Ishaani rolled her eyes but followed along as Neha grabbed her arm and pulled her toward the Indian attire section.

"Chal na, Ishaani! Sharara try karna, I bet you'll look like a dream," Neha gushed.

"I am just buying something decent, not walking a fashion show," Ishaani muttered, scanning the racks of elegant shararas.

As they browsed, Neha held up a deep emerald green sharara with intricate golden embroidery. "This is so your color, Ishaani! Try it!"

Ishaani sighed but took the outfit from Neha's hands. "Fine, fine. I'll try."

Shaking her head at Neha's excitement, she moved toward the trial room, unaware that someone was watching her with a knowing smirk.

I took the emerald green sharara from Neha, running my fingers over the intricate embroidery. It was beautiful-something I wouldn't normally pick for myself. But Neha's hopeful puppy eyes left me no choice.

"Sahi hai, try kar le," she urged, practically shoving me toward the trial rooms.

( It's fine , just try )

Sighing, I walked inside and closed the door behind me. As I changed into the outfit, I glanced at myself in the mirror. The fabric hugged my frame perfectly, the deep green complementing my skin.

I look... nice?

A small smile tugged at my lips, but it vanished just as quickly. I shook my head at my own thoughts. Why am I even caring so much? It's just shopping.

I stepped out hesitantly, adjusting the dupatta. "Neha, dekh le. Bas theek hi hai."

( Neha see, it's just fine)

The moment Neha turned, her eyes widened. "Oh. My. God. Ishaani, You are looking like a diva"

"Drama mat kar," I muttered, rolling my eyes.

( Don't exxagarate)

But before Neha could say anything else, I heard a familiar deep voice.

"Drama nahi kar rahi hai. She's right."

( She isn't exaggerating )

My heart nearly stopped. I slowly turned my head-and there he was. Rivaan. Standing with his arms crossed, his dark eyes scanning me from head to toe, something unreadable flashing in them.

Mere cheeks garam hone lage. Why is he looking at me like that?

Rhea appeared beside him, grinning. "Bhai, what are you doing here?"

"Bas... i was just passing by," Rivaan replied nonchalantly, but his gaze was still fixed on me.

Neha smirked and leaned in. "Guzaar raha tha ya dekhne aaya tha?"

Rivaan's lips curved into a smirk. "Dono."

My breath hitched. I quickly looked away, pretending to adjust my dupatta. Why does he always manage to throw me off guard?

As Rhea and Neha got distracted by another rack of heavily embroidered lehengas, I sighed in relief and went back into the trial room to change.

I struggled to remove the blouse-it was a snug fit, and the hook at the back had somehow gotten stuck. Great. Just my luck.

"Neha!" I called out, hoping she'd hear me. No response. I huffed in frustration and tried again, pulling at the fabric, but it wouldn't budge.

"Nehaaa!" I called louder this time.

Instead of Neha's voice, a deep, familiar one answered, "what happened?"

My entire body froze.

I turned my head sharply, and there he was-Rivaan Chauhan, standing inside the trial room, casually leaning against the doorframe as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

"M-Matlab kya hua?! What are you doing here ?" My voice was barely above a whisper, but my heart was thumping wildly.

Rivaan smirked, stepping inside and locking the door behind him with an infuriatingly calm expression. "You were yelling for help, sweetheart. No one was there. So, I came."

I gulped, suddenly all too aware of our proximity in the small space. The air around us felt charged, every breath between us thick with tension.

"W-well, now that you're here, leave!" I managed to say, my voice faltering.

He ignored my words and let his gaze travel over me slowly, his dark eyes holding something unreadable. "Is your blouse stuck?"

I clenched my teeth. "None of your business! Just go-"

Before I could finish, he moved closer. Too close. I felt his warmth before his fingers even touched me.

"Shh," he murmured, his breath hot against my bare shoulder as he reached for the stuck hook. His fingers brushed against my skin, feather-light, yet it sent a shiver straight down my spine.

I sucked in a sharp breath, my heart racing. His hands were steady, but mine had clenched into fists, pressing against the wall in front of me for support.

"Rivaan-" I whispered, but it barely came out.

He leaned in, his lips hovering near my ear. "Halka sa touch bhi seh nahi paa rahi ho, jaan?" His voice was low, teasing, but there was something deeper beneath it, something that made my knees weak.

(You aren't able to handle such small touch)

His fingers moved over the fabric again, but slower this time, as if savoring the moment. I felt his knuckles trail lightly down my spine, and my entire body tensed-not in discomfort, but something dangerously close to craving.

I wanted to move away. I should have. But my body refused.

The air was thick, charged with something I didn't want to name. His fingers worked at the clasp, but my mind wasn't even focused on that anymore. It was focused on him. The way he felt, the way his presence alone made every inch of my skin burn.

"Rivaan, bas..." My voice barely held any strength.

He chuckled softly, the vibration of it sending another wave of heat through me. "Mujhe rok rahi ho, ya aur der tak yeh moment enjoy karna chahti ho?"

( Are you stopping me or you want to enjoy more )

I hated that he could read me so well. Hated that he was right.

"SHUT UP!" I hissed, my cheeks burning, but it lacked any real force.

Finally, the stubborn hook came undone, but Rivaan didn't move away immediately. His fingers still lingered at my back, his warmth seeping into me, making me hyper-aware of every inch of space between us-what little was left of it.

He leaned in just a fraction more, his lips dangerously close to my ear. "Tumhe dekhne ka bohot mann hai, par chalo, abhi ke liye rehne dete hain," he murmured, his voice laced with amusement and something else, something that made my stomach do an embarrassing flip.

(I just want to see you, but let's leave it for now)

I shut my eyes, trying to steady my breath. Damn him. Damn the way he made me feel.

Then, just as smoothly as he had entered, he pulled back, unlocking the door and stepping out with that signature smirk of his. "Mujhse madad maangne ki aadat daal lo, sweetheart. Tumhari life kaafi asaan ho jaayegi," he threw over his shoulder before walking away.

(Get into the habit of asking me for help, sweetheart. Your life will be a lot easier,)

I stood there, my heart still pounding, my skin still tingling from his touch.

I hated him. I hated him so much.

And yet... why did I already miss the warmth of his hands?

Taking a deep breath, I quickly changed and stepped out-only to be greeted by a knowing smirk from Neha.

"Oh ho, madam! Itni der kyu lag gayi? Ya phir kisi ne madad kar di?" she teased, wiggling her eyebrows.

("Oh ho, madam! Why did you take so long? Or did someone help?")

I groaned, shoving past her. "Shut up, Neha!"

Her laughter followed me all the way out of the store.

"Hmm," she hummed dramatically, tapping her chin. "Tu andar gayi toh akeli thi... par jab bahar aayi toh Rivaan bhi saath aaya. Kuch kehna chahogi?"

(When you went inside you were alone... but when you came out, Rivaan also came with you. Would you like to say something?)

I narrowed my eyes. "Chup kar, Neha."

She gasped, feigning innocence. "Arre! Matlab kuch toh scene tha! Bata na, kitni der tak blush karega tu?"

( Something happened right, just tell na till when will you blush)

I groaned and walked past her, but not before she whispered, "Rivaan bhai ke saath trial room main locked? Haye, naya romance!"

My cheeks burned as I shot her a glare.

As I tried my best to ignore Neha's teasing smirk, we made our way back to the others. To my relief, no one else seemed to notice anything... at least not yet.

Rivaan was already standing with his hands in his pockets, looking completely unbothered as if he hadn't just walked out of the trial room with me moments ago. But when his gaze flickered to me, there was a teasing glint in his eyes that made my heart race again. Ugh, this man.

"Chalo, sabne shopping kar li?" Kabir asked, stretching his arms lazily.

( Is everyone done with the shopping)

"Agar yeh dono ka romance khatam ho gaya ho toh haan, kar li," Neha muttered under her breath, making me elbow her sharply. She just winked at me.

(If the romance between these two is over then yes, it is over.)

"Shopping toh ho gayi, but ab pet pooja bhi zaroori hai," Rhea whined, dramatically placing a hand over her stomach.

"Exactly!" Aanya added. "I'm starving!"

Rivaan, who had been silently observing, finally spoke. "So let's go to the restaurant ."

Advik smirked. "Rivaan bhai ne khud restaurant chalne ka bola? Matlab kuch toh baat hai."

((Rivaan bhai himself asked me to go to the restaurant? That means there is something going on.))

"Ajeeb baat toh yeh hai ke bhai ne ice cream bhi khai thi aaj," Zayan added with a wicked grin.

(The strange thing is that brother also ate ice cream today.")

Vivaan feigned shock, gasping dramatically. "Ho ho ho! Ice cream bhi kha li? Aur woh bhi bhabhi ke saath? Matlab pyaar sach mein serious hai!"

( You ate ice cream too? And that too with bhabhi? Meaning love is really serious!")

Karan nudged Rivaan. "Bhai, humare saath toh kabhi ice cream khane nahi aaye... aur bhabhi ke liye sab kuch allowed?"

("Bhai, you never got to eat ice cream with me... and everything is allowed for bhabhi?")

"Acha bas bas, zyada mat chhedo warna Rivaan bhai yahin dhamki de denge," Ayaansh joked.

(Okay, enough, don't go too far, otherwise Rivaan bhai will give you a threat here)

Rivaan raised an eyebrow. "Dhamki dene ki zaroorat tab padti hai jab samne waala samjhe nahi. Tum sab ke dimag already zyada chalte hain."

(The need to give a threat arises only when the person in front doesn't understand. You all already have too much brain.")

Everyone burst out laughing at that.

Still shaking their heads and teasing us, we all headed out of the mall and towards a nearby restaurant, the energy buzzing with excitement.

As we settled into our seats, I couldn't help but sneak a glance at Rivaan. He caught my eyes and smirked.

"Ab kya soch rahi ho?" he asked, leaning slightly towards me.

I huffed, crossing my arms. "Yeh soch rahi hoon ke tum hamesha mujhe shock kyun dete ho?"

(I am wondering why you always shock me?")

He chuckled. "Shock? Toh bas shuruaat hai, jaan."

( This is just the starting jaan)

And just like that, my heartbeat betrayed me again.
